CHARLES B. NASON was born at Franklin, Erie County, Pennsylvania, in November 1862, son of Crandall and Elizabeth (Francis) Nason, and died at Minneapolis, Minnesota, 26 September 1938. He married at ..., about 1892, JESSIE F. VANCE, who was born at State Center, Marshall County, Iowa, in October 1872, daughter of William and Jennie K. (______) Vance, and died at Minneapolis 5 April 1946.

Crandall Nason was living at Franklin, Pennsylvania in the 1860 census, and had moved to Eden, Marshall County, Iowa, by 1870. His widow, Betsey, was living there in the 1880 census.

Charles was a grocer at State Center, Iowa, in the 1900 census. He was deputy sheriff, living at Marshalltown, Iowa, in the 1910 census, and was living at Linn, Iowa, in the 1915 state census. Charles was a traveling salesman living at Minneapolis in the 1920 census, and was a grocer at Minneapolis in the 1930 census.

Charles B. and Jessie had three children - Mabel L., Ruth Agnes, and Mell Oliver.

The earliest proven ancestor is James Nason, who married Sarah Jefferson in Rhode Island in 1766. Their son, Elisha Nason, married Esther Northrup, and later lived in New York State and Erie County, Pennsylvania. Their son, Crandall Nason, married Elizabeth Francis.

You can find much information on the descendants of James and Sarah (Jefferson) Nason on the LDS website, familysearch.org If you enter a search for James Nason marriage in Rhode Island in 1766, there is one result under the Ancestral File. You can work your way down to Charles B., with a wife “Jennie Wilson.” Use names and dates with caution, as the above identity shows.

There is no evidence to verify any ancestor of the James Nason in Rhode Island - the ancestral file entry for his parents is a guess, at best.
