John Nason was born 15 October 1757, supposedly at Woolwich, but his parentage has not been proven, as far as I know. He had Revolutionary War service, enlisting from Woolwich. He lived at Ducktrap, (later incorporated as Lincolnville) and was living at Hope, Maine, in 1832.

It likely the John Nason born in 1757 is the one who married in 1789 - in any case, he is not John Getchell Nason, born in 1770 and baptized at Phippsburg in 1772, son of Abraham Nason.

John Nason gave a deposition regarding his War service, in which he stated he was born at Woolwich, moved to Lincolnville in 1788, and moved to Hope in 1808.
