From what I have found:

There was a Dr. John Nason mid-1400s, but no hard documentation. I have visited the hall of records in Stratford-an-Avon in England and looked in the records and found William Nasonne, then Ananias Nasonne, followed by John then Richard to Baker Nason (whose line I decend from).

As for the French speculation, I have seen the same stuff. Even an entry about a Richard Le Nassone-but was not supported by documentation, only a person's entry on a web site.

The rest I have confirmed with Geneology and Ancestry.com. But for the Willaim through Richard, I have seen the book in England. This is where my challenge begins, because I would like to go back further, just no records from that area of England.
