This message is for the attention of Nason (and some Mason) researchers, to make them aware of the inception of a Nason DNA study, and its associated website, under the auspices of Family Tree DNA, a respected commercial provider of DNA services.
It should be noted that the study is not intended to replace general Nason discussion forums such as this. The intent of the study is to augment the traditional methods of family history research by using DNA analysis.

It is hoped that the genetic and historical connections between the Nasons of the British Isles, of America, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa will in due course be found. This, of course can only be achieved if DNA samples are obtained.
I hope that you will be interested by the project. If so, I hope that you will participate in it (if you are a male Nason) and pass the URL on to everyone you know who has an interest in Nason family history. While the study will follow male descent, female researchers can make a significant contribution by asking male Nasons to participate.
