Hello Alfred, thanks for the note. Martha Hill (mother of Millard and James Benton Nash) is the daughter of Julius Hill and Mary Hudson of Union County, NC. Martha was born June 15, 1833, died June 3, 1897. She is buried in the Flint Ridge Cemetery in Anson County, NC (just across the line from Union County). She was married to (1) John Walters (died in an accident), (2)Abner Nash (my g-g-grandfather, killed in 1863 in the Civil War), and (3) Isaiah McIntyre.
I have enjoyed going thru your website. I have quite a bit of correspondence from Sarah M. Nash (I saw your references to her on the website). We corresponded in the mid-90's; she was a fascinating lady, and quite a researcher.
