Our Reuben served in Company K of the 43rd Alabama Infantry. He and his brother John were both in this company. He did die in service. Records indicate that he died in Cumberland Gap, TN in 1863 probably from measles. I have copies of his service records and his wife's pension application. As to the identity of Reuben's father I am not positive. But I think it was Joseph Narramore who married Delila Reid. Joseph is listed on the 1830 Walker County, Alabama census with children's ages matching those of Reuben and his siblings. Reuben's Confederate service records indicate that he was born in Walker County.
