Dear John,

I am Tosca Narducci, Daughter of Adolfo Narducci, grandaughter of Amedeo and Rosa (Mirra) Narucci.

My father, Adolfo, came to America through Ellis Island in January 1913. He was 14 years old (08/25/1898). He came to San Francisco and lived there for two years before his father died of double pneumonia in 1915. He became a ward of the state at the request of his Mother. She did not want him to come home because Italy was at war and they were recruiting young men. He joined the calvary when he was 17 years and became naturalized in Arizona in the u.S. calvary. He was discharged in San Antonio, Tx. He was injured when his horse was shot at and he was hospitalized for 1 year. His father was buried in Redlands, California. I have searched for death records and marriage records, but have not come up with anything. My father refused to contact any Narducci's in America, he refused to take me to my GrandFather's grave. I am suspicious of the history he relayed to me. I feel there are many untruths and gaps. He must have been very hurt and mad to let his father disappear into thin air when he died, no records for descendants to relate to. An Amedeo Narducci died in Rhode Island in 1968. I do not know if he was related or not.

Thanks,
Tosca
