Hello Richard,
that priest was my granfather's brother. His name was really Michele and he died in US in 1978 ( probably ia city named Yeatsville..but I am not sure). Michele is also my father's name and my son's name.
I have just spoken with my father and he remembers your father's wife: Antonietta Riccardelli. She had a residence at the beginning of via Porta Paola; that family have always had a tobacco and salt shop.
My father will try to discover which is the family of your father, now he has only some suspicion...but not sure.
You should know that in San Giorgio (3400 inhabitants) Nardone is a very common surname.
