Knapper to Napper and other variations

Hi folks! Any chance that any of you have come across the surname "KNAPPER" in your travels? I am sure there are other variations. I know names change over the years - but hoping to find a connection to my line. I've checked KNAPPER, NAPPER, NAPIER and KNAPP. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!!!!
