Nappers in: Alabama, Louisiana, Missouri

My wife's aunt, Bennie Pearl Golden, born in Calhoun County, AL, married Bliss Napper -- may have been John Bliss Napper. They had a son named John (or Johnny) Virgil Napper. I am trying to find the husband's date of birh and death.

This is what we know:
Bennie Pearl Golden Napper; b. 1902, Calhoun County, AL; d. May 1983, Joplin, MO; she was a Pentacostal preacher at Pentecostal Gospel Tabernacle Church, 616 E. 13th St., Joplin. She is my wife's aunt.

She had a son, John(ny) Virgil Napper; b. 1923, Hico, LA; d. 12 June 1952, Joplin, MO (age 29). His father is listed in obit as John B. Napper and paternal grandfather as J. E. Napper.

This is what I have found:

1930 census; Lincoln Parish, LA:

NAPPER, Bliss; husband; age 27; born in LA
NAPPER, Pearl; wife; age 27; born in AL (this would be Aunt Pearl; age 27 in 1930 makes her born in 1902-1903)
NAPPER, Virgil; son; age 7

On the next page of the 1930 census I find:
NAPPER, James E. (or C); husband; age 62
NAPPER, Delphia; wife, age 57
NAPPER, Bascom; son, age 33
NAPPER, Ben; son; age 24
(I suspect this is the parents & siblings of Bliss Napper. I suspect this because Johnny Virgil Napper's obit llists his paternal grandfather as J. E. NAPPER.)

1900 Census, Lincoln Parish, LA:
NAPPER, Jas. C.; husband; age 32
NAPPER, Delphia; wife; age 27
NAPPER, John; son; b. 1892
NAPPER, Alex; son; (illegible)
NAPPER, Bascom; son; illegible
NAPPER, L????; son; illegible
(This appears to be the same James NAPPER and wife Delphia listed in the 1930 census. Their son John could be John Bliss, Aunt Pearl's husband.)

I have been trying to verify that Aunt Pearl's husband is John Bliss NAPPER -- it certainly looks to me as though that's the case. However -- when I check for deaths of NAPPERS in Missouri, I find only one John Napper in the SSDI -- born 21 Feb 1892, died July 1973, Joplin. In the 1900 census, John B. is listed as being born in 1892. HOWEVER -- the 1930 census says that Pearl and her husband Bliss are both 27 -- which makes him born in 1902-1903. Of course, could be an error in the census where her age was listed as his age.

Aunt Pearl's maiden name is Golden -- her parents lived for a while in Hico, LA -- actually, they show up in Claiborn Parish, LA census records; Hico is in Lincoln Parish but is almost on the parish line between Claiborne and Lincoln. Pearl's parents had some children born in Hico, LA, then they moved back to Calhoun County, AL where Pearl and other children were born.

Bliss NAPPER, Pearl's husband (maybe John B. NAPPER) was born in LA but his parents were born in AL, according to the 1930 census.

Has anyone out there encountered John Bliss NAPPER, married to Bennie Pearl Golden and, if so, do you have a born and died date for him?

Thanks.
