My name is Fernando Luiz de Magalhães, second son of Margarida Galhano and my grandfather was Caetano Galhano. We are from Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, and I consider important to say that my uncles' and aunts' names are, literally, Francisco Galhano (the same name of Francisco Galhano,from Brasília City), Moritz Galhano, Augusto Galhano, Antonia Galhano e Maria da Gloria Galhano. My grand, Caetano, was living in Rio de Janeiro, when sixty years ago he died being a forty two years old man. Then, my mother and family came to Rio de Janeiro city, where since then we have been living.
In 1998, during a professional visit to Salt Lake City, Utah, EUA, I went to the Mormon Cathedral and discovered, in their data base, some "Galliano" family members with the same first name of my uncles, aunts and mother. This fact is interesting because my grandfather adopted for his sons the same name of his Italy ascestries, who were born in the nineteen century.
At this moment, I am very interested in forming my family tree, that add the Galhano family (or Galliano in Italian), from maternal side, with the Rampazzo family, from paternal part .
So, any information about these families will be welcome and surely returned.
