HELP - William Paul, Scottish soldier in Peninsular War
Posted by: Sarah Miller (ID *****8451) Date: July 27, 2003 at 17:38:50

Looking for information on William Paul. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was in the Royal Army until 1813 and saw active service in the Peninsular War. Received a pension. Moved to Ontario, Canada with William Allan and William Nugent, both war veterans and friends of his. Raised 4 sons in Ontario with wife Janet. Believed that William's father owned a textile factory in Scotland. Any information welcome.
