Found your message regarding Napoleon's Imperial Guard. I,too, have the same situation in that I am looking for a Karl Epple. He was a courier for Napoleon and at some point in his career saved the life of Napoleon by twarting an assination attempt. For that act of heroism, he and his family were awarded a pension for life. The family migrated to the Baltimore Maryland area abt 1852. I have the wife and children's data but can't find anything on Karl.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
