Hi Allison,
Yes, even the records vary. There was someone who emailed me yrs ago about this, but my memory fails me now..something about trouble in MO. I did read an account of a young William Napier who was killed in a skirmish involving many in MO...was a religious based disagreement and I seem to remember that one group wanted to drive out the other group from their area in MO. This happening was in the same time frame as the Napier's return to VA...will see if I can refind this and will send along to you.
