Jason-
That would be John Robert Nantz (not Jacob) that is buried in the Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville. He died in 1894 and, yes, he was in the Confederate Army during the War Between the States (a member of the Orphan Brigade). He married Louise Samuels and had three children who lived to adulthood and two who died as infants. Mayme Caroline Nantz, who married Edgar Jacob Ashcraft, died when her daughter, Lucy Caroline (Carolyn) was three years old. Two sons, Walter and I don't remember the other one's name, Lewis maybe.(My notes are out in the car) They had all moved to Louisville by 1910. Louise died in Louisville, as did Mayme, and were brought 'home' to Hodgenville for burial.
