Dear Emily, Thank you so much for the references to different spellings of the name Nantelle.I have been very sick lately....actually since March.....and have not done much research.I went to the Saginaw Church where Richard Francis spent most of his married life and was able to obtain copies of the birth certificates of all his children. The first two entries show his name as "father.....Francois Regis".....we were very surprised. Somewhere between the second and third child, he changed his name to Richard Francis Nantelle. I hope to get back to it very soon. I have ocmpiled volumes of work in a research effort that spans the last four years.Another thing I learned through interviews with my older cousins.....when my Irish grandmohter would get angry at my grandfather she would say, with an Irish accent that he was a bonero French.......we figured it out and she was calling him Bow and Arrow French. So, now I have a lead into some acadian history. Mary
