Dear Gail, perhaps we can help one another out. I am looking for a Richard Francis Nantelle. It is very unusual that this spelling appeared on the forum. Most of the time people are looking for a Nantel. This spelling is very rare.I am researching its origin. My maiden name is Nantelle. My grandfather was Richard Edward Nantelle, born in Saginaw , Michigan in 1876.His father was also a Richard....we believe...Richard Fancis(Francoise) born in Montreal, Quebec , Canada in 1836.He came to Michigan around 1865. It is possible that he served in the US Civil War.He died in Saginaw in 1920.
Is is possible that Samuel and Richard are related? Was Samuel born in Montreal?Your Samuel and my Richard could be cousins. They were having children about the same time. I would venture to say that your Samuel is a bit younger than my grandfather. If you have any information on the Nantelles....Samuel back....please contact me at the email address provided.Thank you Gail, Mary Nantelle Pearce
