One last question...

After I got your incredible first (fact filled!!!) message, I was so excited I started importing all the info into the tree I am building over on ancestry.com. After I got everything in, a hint popped up which would have taken me back 3 more generations on the male line (beyond Jordan Nanney) to a Samuel Nanney (b. 1659 in Boston, MA). He was apparently married to someone listed only as "Tribe". That seems an unusual name for a woman, don't you think? Could that be the native American connection I heard about, or just a very strange name? What do you know of the lineage beyond Jordan? Does this ring true? Thanks again!
