Peter Nance b. 1740 Hello - fellow Nance people.
My great great grandfather was William Nance - born abt. 1787 -- married Sarah Winborne Forman (born abt 1776) in 1819 - Talladega, Alabama. William is on census in Walker cty, Alabama - 1850 - living with daughter - in - law and her children. We have court document - Land bounty for the war of 1812, dated 1855 St Clair, Alabama. William died between 1855 and 1860. William & Sarah had two children. I believe it was the second marriage for both William & Sarah.
I am also trying to connect our William to Peter Nance - born 1740 - Camden District, Chester, South Carolina. Peter had 4 sons and one of them may be the father to my William. Peter Nance married Jane Elizabeth - had about 10 children - 4 sons were -- William - b. 1760
John Nance - b. 1761 ---- Peter Nance b. 1762 -- Richard Nance b. 1764. In Peter Nance (the elder) he list the 4 boys and 6 girls. Will is dated Feb 13, 1780. Peter (the elder ) died in 1783.

There is a generation between Peter Nance (1740) and William Nance (1787). I read some of the sons of Peter Nance (the elder) and grandson on your posting - If you find any information that connects the elder Peter Nance and my William - would like to hear from you.

Willa -- Texas
