Hi Michael. I am a descendant of A. Steve Nance as well. He was my Great Grandfather too. My Grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Nance (his daughter) and she married William (Bill) Honea. Together they had two daughters and a son. My Aunt Frances, Mary Frances (Honea) Johnston, my mother, Catherine Lucille (Honea) Seay, and William Dan Honea. A few years ago my Aunt Frances prepared a family history including the McMurtrey family and had a small book printed called "Letters to Lucinda" which are based on the letters she received during the war between the states from her husband. Those letters I am told are now in the Emory University Library. Feel free to contact me and I'll be glad to share information with you as well.
