But does anyone out there have a PHOTOCOPY of the ORIGINAL???Of course, the original does not say "Mother Sookings (or Gookings)"; this was simply where the transcriber was unsure of what letter began the name. As the author of the "Nance Register" recognized, this name could be significant as a clue to family connections. I'd love to see what the original looks like and to take a crack at the "-ooking" name and the other elements. Can anybody help me on this?More Replies:
