Thomas Nance, South Carolina, Alabama

o.k I need help please.
The Thomas Jefferson Nance in my family married Nancy Hollis and is buried in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Cherokee(not Etowah, you cross the county line before you get to the cemetery)County Alabama. I know he was born in South Carolina and served a short time in the Confederate Army until he became injured in a "strange" (possibly self inflicted) injury. He had a daughter whose name I cannot remember but she is also buried in Pleasent Valley Cemetery. She married Jefferson Davis Graves and they had at least two daughters and four sons maybe more. I can personally remember having met almost that many of their children since one of the boys was my grandfather William Clinton Graves. I have met Fred, Van, Cindy, and Dora and have been told about William. I need as much information on this line as I can get so please share with me anything anyone knows. I had most of this information but lost it in a fire so I am starting over with only my memories. It isn't as easy as it was when I lived there I could run over to the cemetery and write down whatever I needed. Now it is several hours away and not an easy trip so any help anyone can give would be appreciated.
