New Zealand Nancarrow's

Hi Nancarrows, just thought I'd stop in and say hello, my name is marie nancarrow, well my maiden name anyway. My grandfather was Fred Nancarrow and his wife's name was Laurel, both Aucklanders, both passed over now. Lucky for me my grandfather on my mothers side (not nancarrows) begged my mother to call me marie, my grandfather fred wanted to call me Hilda (sorry to all those Hilda's out there) apparantly after his mother??... There's a few things i know about the nancarrows, from what my relatives have said wether their true or not is another story but I know there's a rumour in our family about about my grandfather's grandmother who was apparantly american indian, and came over on the ships. I also have heard of a family tradition about nancarrows, apparantly they were smugglers on the coast of Cornwall England, and they used to stash their swords up in side the wall of the fireplace, where they used to hang the nancarrow family crest. I know my grandfather fred came from a large family 11 kids or something like that, i cant remember their names or where they ended up... anyway I hope this helps to in your journey.
