Simon Naxera married Petronila Ydelfonsa February 9, 1717 Victoria de Durango:
“Simon Naxera, free mulatto, legitimate son of Matheo de la Cruz and Maria Simona, with Petronila Idelfonsa, mestiza, witnesses Simon, Antonio and Casimiro Batres.”

Matheo Naxero born October 2, 1718 Victoria de Durango:
“I baptized Matheo, free mulatto, legitimate son of Simon Naxara and Petrona Alfonza, godparents Juan Nicolas Garcia/Maria de las Nieves.”

Simon Bicente Naxera (younger brother of our direct ancestor Matheo) born November 20, 1727 Victoria de Durango:
“Simon Bicente Naxera, mulatto, legitimate son of Simon Naxera and Petra Idelfonsa, godparents Pedro, Josef, Lucia, Maria.”

Juan Francisco Naxera Idelfonza (younger brother of our direct ancestor Matheo) born May 30, 1737 Victoria de Durango
“Juan Francisco, mulatto, legitimate son of Simon Naxera and Petronila
Idelfonza, godparents Antonio Campos/Ana de Jesus.”

May 5, 1739 Victoria de Durango Lorenzo Simon Naxera possible second marriage to Anna Josepha Garcia, India. No mention of previous marriage to Petronila Idelfonza. Petronila may have died at birth of Juan Francisco in 1737.

Juan Matheo Naxera first marriage:

“I married Juan Matheo de Naxera, free mulatto, native of this city, legitimate son of Simon de Naxera and Ydelfonsa Rodriguez, con Juana de Dios de Aragon, likewise a free mulatta, and native of this city, legitimate daughter of Pedro Aragon and Petronila Ruiz.”

Juan Matheo Naxera and second wife Maria Francisca Zuares had at least six known children beginning with our direct ancestor born two years before they were married:

February 14, 1744 Maria Josefa Gertrudis Najera Suares:
“En catorze de febrero de mil sietecientosquarenta y quarto anos bautize a Maria Josepha parabula mulata libre, hija de Juan Matheo Naxera y de Maria Francisca Zuares, padrinos Dn. Thomas Rodriguez Da. Ma. Martinez.”

“On the 14th of February of 1744, I baptized Maria Josepha, an infant free mulatta, daughter of Juan Matheo Naxera and Maria Francisco Zuares, godparents Thomas Rodriguez and Maria Martinez.”

August 29, 1746 Joseph Juan Mathero Naxera/Maria Francisca Suares: “En veinte y nuebe de agosto vele a Juan Matheo Naxera con Maria Francisco Zuares, mulattos.”
