Please understand as you consider taking a DNA test, that there is no Jewish gene.A DNA test can tell you three things.
If you are male (only) a DNA test can determine if you carry a Cohain gene.The Cohain gene is an indicator of a direct line to Aaron brother of Moses.
A DNA test can provide you indicators that you people at one time came from an area populated by many Jewish people such as Israel or the middle East.
From a database of others who have taken the DNA test, you can dertmine if you are related to other of the Jewish religion.
It is important to understand there is no such thing as Jewish blood or Jewish genes.The one acception is the Cohain gene and that may not mean your people were Jewish.It is only an indicator, and good one.
May I suggest that you consider Family Tree DNA for your test.They will mail the test packet overseas to you.You may find there link on the site Sephardim.com in the table of contents.
