The furtherest I have gone back is to Alexander Nairn c 1741 in Lancashire, England. He married Mary Deans in 1766 at Lancashire. His son was William, who married Sarah Barber in 1789 in Lancashire. Their children were Mary Ann c 1792, William c 1790 and John c 1792. John and his family later immigrated to New Zealand.
My ancestor William (known as Billy) and his wife Mary Ann (nee Rawlinson) marr 1814 in London, along with their children were among the first settlers in Western Australia.
I have a lot on information about the Nairns in WA, if anyone wants it.
I know th Nairns originated in Scotland. They fought in the Battle of Culloden,and then moved to England, after the Scots defeat.
Can anyone help me with my Scottish links ??
