James: Thanks for your message. I have seen most of that data over the years, and feel that my Nicholas who marr Sally Williams 1813 in Williamson Co Tn is connected to all that bunch, but cannot find the connection.
I think I have followed the same Nicholas on this trail: After 1813, he traveled South to Giles Co Tn where he was charged in an "affray" in 1816 and left the jurisdiction of the state and was in Lawrence Co Al 1830 census. Could not find him after that. But my grandfather Francis Marion Neal/Nail born abt 1821 Al shows up in 1850 Monroe Co Ms living in the household of Sally Nail born 1790 Tn. Don't know if she is actually his mother. Other Neals live in Monroe co Ms and at least one was born in Ga. Francis is on a document to this Georgia born Neal as his "heir at law" but I keep feeling like I am at the door of the candy and they put up a closed sign before I can open the door!!
Margy
