On December 20, 1849 a "Captain Nagle" sailed on the 297 ton barque Gloucester for San Francisco. A copy of the of the page of the Sydney Shipping Gazette with this ship passenger list can be found at this link: http://www.nla.gov.au/ferg/issn/14403897.html
I am also researching Nagles that came to San Francisco from Australia in the 1850's but I do not believe our families are linked. Good luck in your research.
