Hi Pixie,
Good to see you are trying to get more info on the family like me!
I guess my suggestion is to sit down with grand father armed with pen and paper and take a few notes...I do all the time now, as I forget so many things he tells me.
I have put a familly tree in this area and where possible I have put up a few dates too.
When you check it out you will see that there are still many gaps to be filled in.
I have been to a Seventh Day Adventists church that had many records that is used for genealogy.I did not have much luck, but learned that there are many, many ways to get information, and that in this area it is very hard as there are so many sources for the information. The trick is to find the right bit of info, so far I have found nothing at all!Grandma's side of the family'Haenow' is even more of a mystery.
Call me sometime and I will share with you what I have.
An example of 'misinformation' is Grandma's place of birth, it was in a place called VIZAGAPATAM, Pop knew this and aunty Doreen in the UK confirmed the accuracey of Pop's memory.
Lots to do
Love
Uncle Syd
