I've seen the entry for your Sussanah Nagel and wondered if possibly she was an aunt to my Susannah Nagel.
Mine is from Lebanon Co., too. If her tombstone is to be believed, she was born about 1806 and died 3 April 1877, so a generation after yours.
My Susannah was married to Johannes Conrad Mohr in the Jonestown, Lebanon Co., Lutheran Church on 2 March 1823.
Given the need for banns, etc. at that time, I do believe she was from the area and Johannes traveled there to marry her.Their first child and several consequent children were baptized in the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lebanon, Lebanon Co., PA.This may be so, but at least 3 of the older children claimed Lancaster Co. as their birthplace. It may have been during the time of the border change or it may have been simply a mistake or perhaps he did operate a cooper shop in Lancaster Co.
They moved over the mountains and settled in Westmoreland Co., PA.She moved even further west as a widow and died in Clinton, IL
It is diffficult separating the Susannah Nagel(s)in the area, I learned.
I found none that matched my birth year need.
Have you been able to make a Nagel tree from that area in those years?
