Yes, you are absolutely right and the age of that document is fantastic. Now my George Nace served in the Rev War on the Pennsylvania Line. After the war about 176? I have to check my records, he received a land warrent for services of 150 acres. I think he ended up in Maryland on a property called "Nace's Tavern". He died in 1810 leaving the plantation (thats what he called it) to his son William with the intent that when the market was right he would sell it and split the proceeds amongst the remaining children. The only remaining children were John and the son-in-law Erasmus Uhler. Well from what I gather, William wasn't very forthcoming and John and Erasmus sue him. I haven't got a copy of the papers yet but I am going to send for them. Its seems to be an interesting family. If you come accross any documents that might connect a Nace from PA to this family in Maryland, please let me know. All the best, Pat
