Well, I will start with the basics, because it is a bit confusing. You are telling me that your grandmother was kin to one of the Haney's first wives and my great grandmother was daughter of a later wife. Is that right?

I knew Hardy Nabors well. He and Aunt Eloise had a store in the country that I remember going to. Their house beside it burned in about 1960 and they lived in the back of the store.

My grandmother was Fannie Nabors, Hardy's sister, James F. and Sudie's daughter, the first born in Texas after they left Lafayette MS. Sudie's name was, I think, Susie Lori Adeleigh Haney. I think Sudie's mother was named Amanda. My cousin has her full name but I think that's right. I also have a photo taken of the family about 1899 which includes Sudie's widowed mother. Would you like a copy?
