I have been looking for my 5th gr grandfather for many years and recently came across information that instead of Mears, his name may have been Alexander Myres born in Scotland. He was born in 1750. Although I have found information about Alexander Myres, son of Alexander Myres and Jeanne Pickyman, in 1750, it appears they also had a son, Alexander, born in 1758 which leads me to believe that Alexander born in 1750 died young. Have any of you Myres researchers come across my Alexander?? He came to Massachusetts and married in 1773, and was known as Alexander Mears. Any knowledge or hints about this guy would be appreciated!!
