Do you have dates for your grandmother? Are John and Mary Louise her parents?
My grandmother was Katherine Myra Redden. Her lineage goes back as follows: Katherine (b.1882)-> James Myra (b.1847) -> Frederick (Meyer) Myra -> Johan Smith Meyer (b.1772) -> John George Meuer (b.1746) -> Johann Jacob Meuer (b.1708). The latter two were born in Palatinate, Germany.
My source is the Zinck family, my grandmother's mother's family. They have been researching in Canada for years, trying to sort out the intertwined relationships. Living in a very small town resulted in many intermarriages.
Yes, we are probably cousins. Strange that we are almost in neighboring towns after all these generations.
