(David) M. Hunter, wife, Margaret Allen, & family!Consultation with an expert of the D. M. Hunter family has not revealed a connection, however./// John H. Myler appears to have lived a long line; see WCV Circuit Court (Will) Book 1840-1903: In the name of God Amen.I(,) JOHN H. MYLER of WCV(,) being of sound mind, and recognizing the uncertainty of life(,) do make my LWT as follows: …all of my property… to my wife TEMPERANCE M. MYLER absolutely and entirely…But I would here express the wish that in case DAVID D. MYLER shall [care for?] and my said wife and during her life shall treat her with kindness and respect that she shall provide of him at her death(,) out of the property hereby bequeathed… do not intend… to limit the power of my said wife to dispose… In case I shall survive my said wife this will is to be null and void. p. 228:(contd.) Witness my hand… July 29th 1887. /s/ JOHN H. MYLER.…/w/ JOHN L. ROWAN; DANIEL TRIGG… At a Circuit Court continued and held… the 15th day of October 1891.The LWT of JOHN H. MYLER deceased was this day produced in Court and proved by the oath of DANIEL TRIGG one of the subscribing witnesses… proved that JOHN L. ROWAN in his presence… will is ordered to be recorded… motion of TEMPERANCE MYLER the widow… took the oath… acknowledged her bond in the sum of $600.00 with L. T. COSBY her security who qualified… A Certificate is therefore granted… for obtaining letters of Administration on the estate…/// John H. Myler was paid for several carpenter works on the WCV CH, as listed in the WCV MBs; his firm in Abingdon in the 1850s was “Rodefer & Myler”./// Temperance’s middle initial was M. (see 1880c); next door is a Wallace Maxwell – in case that has any significance. Also, considering the name Temperance M. was uncommon in WCV, see 1850c, WCV, HH1628:Humphries, Abel (H.), 42, NC; Mary A. (Harrison), 29; VA C., 5; Temperance M., 2; Easther (Burran or Durren), 75, NJ - ? Able and Mary went to Liberty, Barry Co. MO about 1869.They are living there in 1880c, with a Mary A.
