more info about Agnes Myler! her father was Andrew Myler.
I believe I've got a match with an Andrew Myler family in the 1870 census, residing in Detroit WArd 4, WAyne Co, MI, but of course, it's only part of the story.
Andrew Myler (b 1798 @ Scotland) m. Agnes [unknown] (b. 1800 @ Ireland). Andrew is listed as a retired undertaker.
James Myler (b. 1838 @ MI) is listed as a printer in the same household.
Immediately following this household is:
Isabella Duggan (possible match to Isabelle Myler Duggan who is "Aunt Belle" to my great-grandfather James T Barron, son of Agnes (Myler) Barron) (b. 1847 @ MI)
Harry Duggan (b. 1867 @ Canada, father foreign-born)
Mabel Duggan (b. Dec 1869 @ MI, father foreign-born)
and immediately after:
Lizzie Myler (possibly Elizabeth, sister to Agnes (Myler) Barron, who lived in Detroit)(b. 1845 @ MI, both parents foreign-born)
Maggie Nesbitt (faint possibility that this is James T Barron's "Aunt Maggie") (b. 1840 @ MI, both parents foreign-born)
I wonder if there was another Myler sister named Matilda? I've found Matilda Myner (could be a typo) listed in the 1870 census in the James T Barron household, and supposedly at least one of the Myler sisters came west with the Barron family and married someone named Burke.
anything ring a bell with any of you out there?
