This is interesting because I have heard rumors that the Myers family was connected to the first Steamboat on the Ohio named The New Orleans. It was built by Nicholas Roosevelt, Robert R Livingston and Robert Fulton. It was said the boat was built in Mckeesport with wood coming from the Oliver Estae across the river.. Nicholas Roosevelt was Teddy Roosevelt's great uncle. Teddy Roosevelt of course became President after President McKinley was shot.

Again it's hard to tell just how many of these Myers family in the Pittsburgh area were related
