I wanted to add I believe this Myers/Venable family of New Madrid was related in some way to Andre Michaux a French Botanist with strong connections to Thomas Jefferson and Marquis de Lafayette. Andre was King Louis XVI head gardener at Versailles. In 1792, Andre Michaux was the first person to approach Thomas Jefferson about exploring the source of Missouri River. LDS records do point to both a Pittsburgh and French connection with this family.
