You can Google Michael Myers 1745, Greathouse, Dunsmore War, Col William Crawford, Chief Logan to get the full story. Washington Co is just 13 miles south of Pittsburgh so it's in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Christopher Gist lived in the Washington Co area. The issue of Christopher Columbus and the Myers family of SC is completely unproven. Although, as I said, there is at least some paperwork that supports the claim starting with Christopher Gist and his family.
