Seeking your help in trying to identify the parents of Chloe Queen MYERS, who was born 3 April 1875 in Elkhart, IN.
Chloe married Civil War Veteran Henry James BURTON on 8 January 1893 in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana.
Chloe was last enumerated living with her son in the 7 April 1930 US Census in El Centro, Imperial County, California,
where she may have died, 1930-1940, as she is not listed in the California Death Index, which begins in 1940.
Here is what I have been able to find about Chloe's background which may help you to find Chloe's parents:

1. Chloe Queen Myers married for the first time on 23 January 1893; the 1910 Census enumerator noted that she had
been married for 17 years and that this was her first marriage. Family tradition holds that Chloe’s sisters included
Rose, Nell, Lillie, and La Vina, and that her brothers included Walter and Albert. Family tradition further holds that
Chloe’s “grandmother,” Mary Tally dropped walnuts in furrows “at” Springfield (Sangamon County), Illinois (presumably
as a child, before the Civil War). "This walnut grove was still in place circa 1940." There are many TALLY and TALLEY
families in the 1850 and 1860 Illinois Census, and quite a few Marys. Mary TALLY could have planted these walnuts
30 to 40 years before Chloe was born in April 1875, but it is difficult to locate this woman, in place and time, without
more information. Mary TALLY may have married a MYERS, but it is hard to tell. Chloe and Queen are very distinct names,
but I have not yet found Chloe in the 1880 Census; there are a few candidates, but it is hard to be certain where she is.

2. Chloe Myers was married to Henry J. “BARTON” (BURTON) on 3 January 1893 in Elkhart County, Indiana.
