Hi Ray,
Sorry for the delay, my grandchildren were here for a visit!I have to think that we are related although at the moment Christian's family seems to be the "connection". The information I have comes from a combination of "family legend" as written by a daughter of Johan (#4 of my June 13 posting). The names of Christian's wife and children came from the 1880 census. I requested help from the Chicago Gen. Society and they referred me to the state archives, but also researched their files and felt this was the family I was looking for. I Also went thru the microfilm for this census and this was the only Christian Muth I could find.
Do you know if Henry inherited his business? Was it on or near blue Is. Avenue? I would be very interested in anything you could help me with. Do you need my snail or do you have your data in an uploadable form? I can trace #4 and their children to the present if you are interested. I also have a little bit on the family in Germany. Please advise if you are interested in this data. Thank you again for your response.
