Hi all,
Well I've asked a couple of questions regarding my Music/Musick family in Arkansas, namely Lucinda Jane Music (my gg grandmother).
I think her father was John R. Musick (1880 AR census) and Louisa Musick Gibson was her grandmother (remarried). Lucinda also had a brother William. Through some family stories, it might be possible that William changed his name from Music to Gibson. John also had a sister, Mary (1850 census)
John's father was William (1850 AR census) and through some digging in census information, indexes to the census, some comparing, etc. found William's father who is John (b. between 1800-1810 in AR) (1830 & 1840 census). There were some other Musick's in the area at that time and came to think that they were John's brothers, William and Alfred (both born in AR).
Through other researching on Ancestry.com, etc. found their parents to be Asa (born in Virgina) and Elizabeth Moore (born in Virginia).
Asa's parents to be Abraham (born in Virginia) and Terrell Musick (maiden name; born in Virginia). Also saw Abraham's parents, Ephraim and Sally Estep on Ancestry.com as well.
This information is not concrete and is purely speculation, perceptions, etc.
If anyone can verify for me, please let me know.
