Looking for information regarding John Musch of Cass County, Illinois. He came over from Hesse Darmstadt, Germany in about 1846, married (in order) Margaret Lang, Albertine Lippert, and Margaret Schaaf (my relative). His father was John Conrad Musch, born 1800 in Hesse Rohrbach, Germany, came to the U.S. about 1847. Shows in the census as married to Catherine A. (?), who would be at least a second wife to John Conrad Musch (too young to be the mother of John Musch). Willing to share information with other family members. Would be especially interested in any information about where John came into the U.S. (possibly Louisiana?) and what port he left from.
