I am looking for information on my grandfather Fred Luston Murry. He was born November 10 1923 in Oklahoma. He died June 1, 1973 in Monrovia, CA. I know his mother was named Jessie, however I do not know her maiden name. His father died when Fred was in about the third grade and he had to quit going to school to get a job to provide for the family. He had a younger brother named Lloyd who was born in 1927. The 1930 census places them as living in Quapaw, Ottawa County, Oklahoma. I know there is also a Native American tribe called the Quapaws who lived in this area. My great grandmother Jessie has been descibed as looking as though she "came right off the reservation." Floyd later married a woman named Peggy Hamilton and they lived in Northern California until he died in 2000.
My mother Jacqueline Lynn Murry (Levario) only knew her father Fred for a couple of years before he died in 1973.
