Thomas: Thank you so much for your reply. Your information about the Milton History Website was most useful and I am going to try and get in touch with Larry Hill who must be the webmeister. I went on the website about Milton family histories and was surprised about the virtually lack of Murray family history. One of you Murray's need to fill that in for him. The "object of my affection", William Barnett, married Jane Murray, daughter of Col. James Murray, one of Northumberland's most illustrious Rev War heroes. He settled in Chillisquaque Twp which adjoins Milton. Samuel W. Murray, whose book I seek, was Col. Murray's grandson. My interest in his book is limited to what he might have said about his cousin twice removed, Jane and husband, William Barnett. One of William Barnett's descendants had a copy of the book as late as 1914 but none of the Barnett's yet queried knows a thing about it. I had hoped to find it in a library. I shall pursue that with Larry Hill and the Northumberland librarian. Thanks again, Cliff Neilson Notify Administrator about this message?
