Murray family of Dumfries

My Murray ancestors came from Dumfriesshire, although most of what I have is oral history. George Murray and wife Ann Landells emigrated to Canada in 1820 and settled in the Miramichi near what is now Chatham, NB. Ann was from Midtown farm in Cummertrees. They were burned out in the great Miramichi Fire in 1825, following which Ann and the four children then living returned to Midtown. Children were Arthur, William, Charles b.1821, John b.1823. George removed to the Barthurst, NB area and Ann returned a year later with the two youngest, Arthur and William remaining in Scotland. They subsequently had Robert b. 1828 d. young, killed by an indian; George G. b. 1830, d. July 13, 1903 in ME (my gggrandfather); Irvine b. 1832, d. 1917. The Cummertrees 1851 census shows a William Murray who would appear to be of correct age (b. ca. 1822) with wife and two dau. at Midtown Farm, no sign of an Arthur. Charles and John removed to Duluth, MN, Charles never married. I have visited Cummertrees and Midtown farm, which was tenanted by Landells through the 18th,19th and the early 20th century. Does any of this ring any bells? Does anyone have information on what Cummertrees family George may have come from?
