My g g grandfather was George MURRAY. He married Mary Ann SHARPE between 1879 - 1881.
Their son Archibald Basil MURRAY was b 2 / 5 / 1888 in Bawdeswell,
Ling.
George was a bricklayer/journeyman.
1881 census shows a George MURRAY at Cottage On City Farm, Shropham as a lodger aged 32 and married.
The same census shows a Mary Ann MURRAY, bricklayers wife, aged 20 in Docking living `In The Village` Lyng.
She has a 2 year old child called Frederic SHARPE with her. (It was not noted at the time that the child was her son).
1891 census lists them at Post Office Road, Lyng.
They now have 4 sons, Frederick SHARPE aged 12 born in Docking, Jesse MURRAY aged 9 born in Lyng, Bertie MURRAY aged 4 born in Lyng, Archibald B MURRAY aged 2 born in Lyng.
Archibald Basil Murray married Martha Anne BRIGHTON b1885.
They had 3 children Alexander Maud MURRAY (my grandmother) b 8 / 11 / 1914 in Attleborough Road, Sydney MURRAY b 27 / 7 / 1910 in New Buckenham, and Roland Archibald MURRAY.
Martha Anne had 2 sisters Mabel BRIGHTON and Ethel BRIGHTON.
Mabel married Henry BAXTER and had a daughter Joan BAXTER. Joan married a Mr. BOSSONS and had two sons Trevor and Christopher.
Ethel married Robert BRIGHTON and had a son Cecil BRIGHTON.
Sydney MURRAY married Freda Mary Una NORTHCOTT. They had 4 children, David Roy MURRAY b1949 d 1958, Gerald MURRAY b 6 / 7 / 1935 d 24 / 11 / 1985, Alan MURRAY, and Josephine MURRAY.
Roland Archibald MURRAY married Norah BROWNE and had 2 children, Pearl & Neville.
He married a second time to Ena ?..
