Hi Sue,
I was just reading over all the information that is here so far. I'll try and help on the canadian side a bit.My father was James Charles Murrant Born in New Waterford NS,Canada.He was born in the 1930's his father was James Cesil Murrant. Not sure when he was born, but his father which is William Murrant did come from england.But I don't know the location that he was born and raised.
Now I also read on one of the notices that there are Murrant's in Australia. Now there might be some there but I do know that there is a couple living in New Zealand on a farm. My sister mentioned it to me while she was traveling there.
