Looking for anyone who may have info on my GGmother Mary Chadwick brn abt 1831 either NC or SC, married a John Chadwick possible GA abt 1850's. Mary was still living at age 69 in 1900 in Anderson Co TN per the census brn NC,parents brn NC.She was living with her son John Chadwick brn abt 1852/1860? GA.died 1917 KY age 65. Also in the household was her 2 gran Sons Robert Chadwick age 18,and Oliver Chadwick age 17 both brn GA,and believed to be the sons of Abraham Chadwick brn abt 1858 GA. Abe was married 1st unk,and #2 Thursa/Thursee Kimbro/Kimbrough.
Cannot find where Mary was after 1900. My Gfather,Mary's son John Chadwick was found later in Laurel Co Ky abt 1910,and his mother Mary wasn't with him. I have checked for a death cert in TN,and KY,nothing there. Could need some help in GA trying to find if she had went back there before she died. Her husband John Chadwick was believed to be a Mason,and a possible Circuit Rider/Preacher or was John's, brother a Preacher,and his name may have been Abraham Abe Chadwick brn NC?. I heard that my John Chadwick had traveled to GA,and on the way he had met a Indian Lady,and later married her,so Mary may have been Native American from NC or SC.
Does any Chadwick researcher in SC/NC/GA have a Mary Chadwick brn abt 1831 NC/SC who's maiden name may be Hodgins/Hodgens/Hudgins,and something else was said about Mary was the name McCarly/McCarty/McCravy or Mc something in the Chadwick line from GA. Also the name Ballew/Ballue/Blue ect has a possible connection.
Any info would be appreciated.
