Interesting information has been discovered this date concerning the historic spelling of the name "MURRAH". I have beleived for some time that in-fact the Scotland surname "MURRAH" has been spelled as "MURRAY". Documents prove this statement. Perhaps this is the reason that our "MURRAH" line ends with "Morgan Murrah". If we can tie this "Andrew Murrah (Murray) with our "Morgan Murrah", BINGO!

These records show us that the name surname "MURRAH" (correctly spelled) is listed for a "Andrew Murrah" born 26 Jan 1773: Baptized 31 Jan 1773 Torthorwald (Ref: Torthorwald, 1773; OP 850/1, Fr 37)
2. Records found at LDS FamilySearch International Genealogical index v5.0 Show this "Andrew Murray" born 26 Jan 1773: Christened 31 Jan 1773 Torthorwald Dumfries, Scotland.
3. Records at LDS FamilySearch also show that "Samuel Murray" Born About 1747 Of Torthorwald, Dumfries, Scotland. Is the father of "Andrew Murray".
4. Present day www.Streetmap.co.uk shows a "Murrah"/"Murrah Hall Scotland.
Thus proving the existance of a physical 'Murrah" place name in Scotland'
